Classic Shortbread
Ingredients
- 225 g butter, unsalted
- 115 g sugar, granulated
- 225 g flour, all-purpose
- 113 g flour, semolina
- 2 tbl brown sugar
Instructions
- Pre-Heat oven to 175°c / 350°f
- Mix the flour and butter together with a pastry mixer or knives. Form into ball
- Place parchment paper (in size of baking tray) on surface.
- Dust parchment paper with sugar and roll dough in 1.5cm / 1/2", in a square shape
- Slice the dough into long rectangles. Pierce with fork in regular patter.
- Move paper to backing sheet and bake for 35-50 minutes, until just starting to brown
- Remove from oven and let cook on cooling rack
